Temple Aron HaKodesh Leadership
Temple Aron HaKodesh is blessed to have leaders who are truly dedicated to Messiah Yeshua and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bios of our leadership team.
Rabbi Joseph Vitkus, a native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, has been with Temple Aron HaKodesh since 1994 when he was hired as the youth rabbi and as an art, Bible, and P.E. teacher and athletic director for Sar Shalom Hebrew Academy, our temple's former day school. He served in youth ministry until 2005, when he became the associate rabbi under the founding rabbi, Dr. Neil Lash. In 2010, Rabbi Joe became the senior rabbi upon Rabbi Neil's retirement. Rabbi Joe is licensed and ordained with the IAMCS (International Association of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues) and also licensed and ordained with the Assemblies of God. He also serves on the MJAA's Executive Committee.
Rabbi Joe is a frequent speaker at MJAA (Messianic Jewish Alliance of America) conferences, both in the southeast region as well as the national Messiah Conference. Rabbi Joe also speaks at the IAMCS International Rabbis Conference and the YMJA (Young Messianic Jewish Alliance) conferences. Rabbi Joe speaks frequently at various youth conferences and interfaith events. Rabbi Joe also leads a tour to Israel every two years when a group of about 20-30 people see the Scriptures come to life as they travel to the Holy Land. He leads a missions trip to a designated country on the years in between.
Rabbi Joe and his wife, Rebbetzin Ilene Vitkus, have been married for over thirty years and have two grown children, Joshua, and Rebecca. Rebbetzin Ilene has served alongside Rabbi Joe at TAK over twenty-five years, and she was also a teacher at Sar Shalom Hebrew Academy. Rebbetzin Ilene is originally from Long Island, New York, where she grew up in a very religious, traditional Jewish home. Ilene has a bachelor's degree in secondary English education, and is also a frequent speaker at various conferences around the country.
Rabbi Francisco Moros was appointed to serve as Temple Aron HaKodesh's Associate leader since June 2017. Prior to that, he served in our Prison Ministry for 10 years, 7 of these as its Director. He arrived at Temple Aron HaKodesh on 2005 and became a member on 2007 where he also became a Bar Mitzvah. He became a believer when he was 15 years old in 1978 in Venezuela, with Pastor Ian Achong. The LORD used his family and him to found a congregation from where other pastors and congregations originated.
The attributes that best describe Rabbi Francisco as an associate are strong preaching, leadership development and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a temple like Temple Aron HaKodesh where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Yeshua. Rabbi Francisco takes love, worship and preaching very seriously.
He holds a Finance degree from Ohio University and worked in the airline industry for 20 years.
Rabbi Francisco has been happily married since 1985 to his wife, Maria Moros. They have 2 children: Keren and Kezia. Maria holds a Bachelor’s in Education and a Master’s in Counselling, Music and Communication. Both, Rabbi Francisco and Maria have been very involved in ministry since their youth.

Michael’s background is in textile technology and management, as he studied at Bolton Institute of Technology in Bolton, England, and graduated with a Professional Licentiateship of the Textile Institute (LTI).
He and his wife, Patricia, have been married since 1981, and their union has produced two adult sons, Darren and Tristan. Michael enjoys serving people of all ages, and he has a passion for winning souls for Yeshua.
